People Development Committees

Made up of functional line management and assisted by HR, the role of our People Development Committees (PDCs) are to ensure that we have the right people with the right competencies for the right jobs at the right time.

The PDCs overall objectives are to:

  • Assess the development needs of all of our people
  • Match them to their perfect positions
  • Promote cross-functional working and international development
  • Measure the achievement of set objectives
  • Manage the selection process

There are always opportunities to experience other business areas, and positions are advertised as and when they come up. If you have a specific interest in another area, your PDC will actively liaise with that business area’s PDC to look at possible opportunities.

To ensure your PDC is able to make the most of your potential, we encourage effective working relationships across all levels. Being able to share your aspirations, keep your internal CV up to date and give feedback to your line manager will ensure you stay on the right road for you. In turn, your manager will identify areas of improvement in your performance and give you constructive feedback too.
